An adventure inspired by Herman Melville’s 1851 literary classic Moby Dick. Director Philippe Ramos expands the story of Captain Achab’s obsessive hunt for the elusive white whale. He invokes his childhood in nineteenth century Massachusetts, with its backdrop of hunting, religiously inspired cruelty, criminals on the run, and the call of the sea. Achab became the greatest of whale killers, but at what price? A film enriched by outstanding photography and imaginative music.
