Synopsis

Fred Claus is the embittered older brother of the all good Nicholas Claus (a.k.a. Santa Claus). Fred has been compared to his brother’s glowing example his entire life, and has never been able to live up to the scrutiny. Instead of trying, he becomes a repo man who steals the properties he is assigned to repossess, essentially the mirror image of Santa. Eventually Fred’s behaviour catches up with him and his only recourse is to turn to his brother, who agrees to help on the condition that Fred returns home to join the family business. However, Fred quickly finds that he isn’t cut out for creating toys and spreading good cheer and the enormity of his failings may be enough to ruin Christmas.
